A note from our friends at The Agora Companies(ad)

Dear Reader,

More than 60,000 Americans now live in a place with “the exoticness of a top-tier European city”.

What’s the attraction?

According to the BBC, this city offers:

“the cafe culture of Paris… the cuisine of Milan… and [fun] of Madrid…”

…but at a massive discount to any of those cities.

It turns out there’s a lesser-known corner of the world where Americans are retiring in European-style luxury and refinement – without breaking the bank.

Imagine fancy meals with wine and a rib-eye steak for only $11…Parisian penthouses for $650 a month…and nights at the opera for less than the movies back home!

Because the area was settled by French, Italians, and Germans 150 years ago, this retirement haven feels like some of the richest places in Europe…

Think cities like Paris…towns like Cannes on the French Riviera…or villages that could be straight from the banks of the famous Lake Como in Italy.

Places where you can stroll along seaside promenades and marinas docked with shiny white yachts, fine Italian dining, and even spot celebrities and royalty vacationing here.

But again, this destination is incredibly affordable…everyday Americans can take advantage and live a life full of adventure and culture without a big retirement account.

Click here now to learn where this is possible.

Sincerely,

P.S. If you dream of a cultured European retirement but can’t imagine affording a retirement in cities like Paris and Rome, then you’ll want to hear this…
There’s a hidden corner of the world where American expats are using a strong dollar to buy a life of European refinement for much less than it would cost on the old continent.

Novo Nordisk Just Beat Again. The Stock Still Trades at 10x Earnings.

Novo Nordisk reported Q3 results this morning and beat on nearly every line. Revenue rose 6% year over year to DKK 79.195 billion, and adjusted operating profit increased 27% at constant exchange rates. Wegovy pill sales totaled DKK 5.394 billion. The stock jumped about 6% on the news. That reaction, while welcome, barely makes a dent in what has been a painful year for NVO shareholders, and it raises a question that matters more than any single quarter: how long can the world’s dominant obesity drug maker trade at a single-digit price-to-earnings ratio?

The Business

Wegovy is not a product. It is a franchise. By the end of Q3, the Wegovy pill had been launched in the U.S., UAE, UK, and Germany, and launches in four additional countries brought the total to eight markets. Pill sales in the quarter totaled DKK 5.394 billion. Injectable Wegovy came in at DKK 20.407 billion and Ozempic injectable at DKK 29.657 billion.

Adjusted operating profit increased 27% at constant exchange rates, driven by GLP-1 sales growth and a favorable comparison base following DKK 9 billion in transformation costs recognized in Q3 2025. The underlying business is doing what it needs to do. The pill transition is working faster than expected. Wegovy pill revenue reached DKK 5.394 billion. The pill is now large enough to offset weakness in established products.

Why Wall Street Is Paying Attention

Novo raised its full-year guidance this morning. In Q3, the company reported adjusted EPS of DKK 5.79. Reported operating profit was weighed down by DKK 8.7 billion of non-cash impairment charges, but the market focus was on the adjusted beat and the upgraded outlook. The company also updated its 2026 sales growth outlook, reflecting optimism around its GLP-1 product portfolio. A guidance raise on top of a broad beat signals management confidence, not a one-quarter fluke. The Danish weight-loss drug maker is looking to regain momentum following a tumultuous year in which it fell behind rival Eli Lilly. Today’s quarter makes that case meaningfully.

What’s Driving the Opportunity

The valuation gap is the story. NVO is trading at roughly 10x trailing earnings based on widely quoted trailing P/E metrics, well below where it traded during much of the last decade. Industry comparisons vary by data provider, but at least one widely used industry dataset puts the drug manufacturers median forward P/E around 15.2, still above where Novo currently trades. These are not fringe estimates. Multiple valuation frameworks can support the view that expectations embedded in the stock have reset sharply lower even as core GLP-1 demand remains durable.

Novo operates in a tight duopoly with Eli Lilly, and the GLP-1 market is still in early innings globally. The pill format removes the injection barrier that limited addressable patients in prior years. Eight markets in one quarter is not a soft launch.

The competitive pressure is not only financial. A federal court ruling let Lilly keep running superiority ads for Zepbound and Mounjaro right through open enrollment season.

What Could Go Wrong

Planned U.S. price cuts and intensifying Eli Lilly competition remain key investor concerns. The stock fell nearly 8% in one session in late September after the company’s strategy update failed to reassure investors about the path beyond today’s GLP-1 leaders. Injectable Wegovy sales fell 2% at constant exchange rates this quarter, and GLP-1 diabetes sales declined in the quarter at constant exchange rates as well. If the pill cannibalizes the injectable franchise without growing the overall market, the revenue math changes. Currency moves can also compress reported figures in a way that distorts the underlying picture.

The Bottom Line

Novo Nordisk is the most globally distributed GLP-1 platform in existence, it raised guidance this morning, and it is trading at roughly half the multiple of its own long-run history on common trailing P/E measures. The pill transition cleared its first real test today with Wegovy pill sales of DKK 5.394 billion. Lilly raised its full-year outlook last week on strong Mounjaro and Zepbound demand. Both companies are winning. At a sub-10x trailing earnings multiple, NVO is being priced as if only one of them will.

The demand story behind both companies is still accelerating. Mounjaro and Zepbound together generated roughly $14.9 billion in a single quarter on volume that grew 60% year over year even as realized prices fell.
