Palantir Reports Monday. Guidance Is the Whole Game.

Palantir reports Q3 results after the close tomorrow, Monday, November 2, 2026, and the most important number won’t be the headline revenue figure. Analysts already expect $2.18 billion, representing roughly 83% year-over-year growth. The company has beaten both earnings and revenue estimates in recent quarters. A beat is priced in.

What is not priced in is whether management raises full-year guidance again. After Q1, Palantir lifted its annual revenue outlook by roughly $470 million above its original forecast. After Q2 it raised again to $8.150 to $8.158 billion. A third raise, even a modest one, is the catalyst the stock needs. Without it, the multiple is impossible to defend.

Why This Stock Now

The underlying business has moved into a different category this year. U.S. commercial revenue grew 133% year over year in Q1 and then 149% in Q2, reaching $764 million in a single quarter. That is not experiment traffic. Palantir signed a record $2.132 billion in U.S. commercial contracts in Q2 alone, and U.S. commercial remaining deal value hit $6.238 billion, up 124% year over year. Signed contracts convert to recognized revenue over multiple years, which means the 2027 pipeline is already heavily influenced by what has been booked.

Government isn’t fading either. U.S. government revenue grew 90% in Q2 to $809 million. The company highlighted Maven Smart System as a key program, but Palantir did not report that it surpassed $1 billion in federal contracts in fiscal 2026 or that Maven’s budget was raised to approximately $1.3 billion this year.

The Business

Palantir sells AI and data analytics software to governments and enterprises. What changed in 2026 is that U.S. commercial adoption reached something closer to escape velocity. CEO Alex Karp said in early August that the growth trajectory looks like it will continue for at least another 18 months. Palantir’s Rule of 40 score, which combines revenue growth with profitability, reached 155% in Q2, a level typically reserved for the most efficient software companies alive.

Unlike the hyperscalers, Palantir does not build data centers. It sells software on top of AI infrastructure. That distinction matters now: Palantir generated $1.22 billion in adjusted free cash flow in Q2 alone at a 63% margin.

Palantir’s asset-light model is not the only way to capture that federal AI budget. SAIC, which integrates mission IT and data systems across the same defense agencies, beat earnings by 30% and raised full-year guidance.

What Could Go Wrong

The valuation is the primary risk. PLTR closed at $184.11 on Friday, October 30, 2026, the most recent trading day, and its trailing and forward multiples can swing sharply with the price and estimate changes. At this valuation, the company must keep accelerating, not just growing, to justify the price. Any deceleration in U.S. commercial revenue below triple-digit growth, or a guidance hold rather than a raise, could send the stock down sharply. Options traders are pricing in a move of approximately 11 to 13% in either direction on tomorrow night’s report. Palantir is also deeply embedded with the federal government during a period when defense budgets face political scrutiny.

The Bottom Line

Palantir has earned its reputation for beating and raising. The company grew total revenue 85% in Q1 and 93% in Q2, and has locked in $6.238 billion of U.S. commercial remaining deal value not yet recognized as revenue. Tomorrow night’s report is less about whether Palantir beats estimates and more about whether management signals the acceleration continues. A guidance raise to roughly $8.3 billion or higher would confirm the thesis. The multiple leaves no room for a simple in-line result.
